SENECA VALLEY CONTINUES TO ROLL

Seneca Valley improved to 18-2 on the season with two more wins this week.  1Dreamer, Jonathan Velez continues to impress with a 28 point, 10 rebound and 6 assist performance last night.  The 6'4" Velez has had 5 games this year with 25+ points.

CONGRATS TO SAN LUIS OBISPO HIGH SCHOOL
February 13, 2009
San Luis Obispo High School captured a league title for the first time since the 1990 season by finishing 10-2 in the Pac-7.  Julian Demalleville and Shane Kennedy, who were both participants in the 2007 Athletes to Africa, were the cornerstones of the team.

BEBE VARGAS HELPS LEAD TEAM TO LEAGUE TITLE

Dominican Bebe Vargas helped lead St. Joseph JV to an undefeated 9-0 record in the LPL.  Vargas really improved his defense during the season and we are looking for a huge summer out of the soon to be super-soph.

HUNGARIANS DROP CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
February 13, 2009
Salisbury School fell 59-41 to Delmarva Christian in the championship of the ESIAC.  Adam Hajer scored 13 points for Salisbury who finish their season with 16-7 record.

HAJER NAMED CONFERENCE MVP
February 8, 2009
Adam Hajer was recently named MVP of the ESAIC with teammate Zsolt Lakosa finishing second in the balloting.  Salisbury begins playoff action this Wednesday 2/11.

HUNGARIANS LEAD SALISBURY TO TWO MORE WINS
February 6, 2009
Adam Hajer and Zsolt Lakosa continued their strong play helping lead Salisbury to wins over Broadwater Academy (67-64) and Gunston Day (70-32).  Against Broadwater, Hajer scored 36 points and Lakosa added 20 points and 7 assists.  Against Gunston, in limited play, Hajer scored 23 points and Lakosa added 14.  Salisbury improves to 15-5 on the season and begins the playoffs next week.

THE AFRICAN BRAAI IS COMING

FRANCISCO LUANO REDSHIRTING AT POLK

Angolan Francisco Luano is using his redshirt season at Polk CC to better acclimate himself to the rigors of college academics and athletics.  Polk is off to a 20-5 record and are one of the top junior colleges in the nation.

HUNGARIANS DROP A TOUGH ONE

Adam Hajer and Zsolt Lakosa combined to score 32 of Salisbury's 36 points but it wasn't enough as Salisbury dropped a 53-36 decision to Delmarva Christian.  Delmarva Christian, who improved to 15-2 with the victory, outscored Salisbury 29-11 in the second half.  With the loss, Salisbury falls to 13-5 on the season.

SENECA VALLEY WIN STREAK NOW AT NINE
February 4, 2009
Jonathan Velez has helped lead Seneca Valley to two more wins with a 84-70 victory over Watkins Mill and a 73-68 victory over Rockville. With the wins, Seneca Valley improves to 15-2 on the season.  Velez is scheduled to take the ACT exam later this month and his recruitment is really beginning to intensify.

IBRAHIM HAS ANOTHER HUGE GAME

Ibrahim "Anyars" Salih had another big time performance for the Glenelg Dragons as he scored 14 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in a heartbreaking 67-62 loss to Baltimore's 10th ranked team, St. Marys.  With the loss Glenelg falls to 11-10 on the season.
