SUMMER COMEDY JAM - Headlined by Jon Lovitz & DL Hughley May 9, 2008
The inaugural Summer Comedy Jam, featuring Jon Lovitz & DL Hughley will be held June 28, 2008 at the Madonna Inn Expo Center. Comedy Central's Andrew Kennedy will be the master of ceremonies for the event. Lovitz made his mark during his 5 year stint on Saturday Night Live. He has also appeared in such films as: A League of Their Own, City Slickers II, The Producers and The Benchwarmers. Hughley is a member of "The Original Kings of Comedy" the highest grossing comedy show of all time. Hughley also starred in his own television sitcom "The Hughleys" which aired for 4 years on ABC and UPN. Tickets and more information will be available starting May 16th.
STUDENTS ARRIVE May 8, 2008
Jonathan Velez (Puerto Rico) and Waldo "Bebo" Estevez (Dominican Republic) have arrived in San Luis Obispo. Velez is a 6'4" shooting guard who will be a senior in Fall. Estevez is a 6'0" point guard who will be a junior in the Fall. Check out the "STUDENTS" page for more information about each young man.
STUDENTS ARE COMING April 25, 2008
Five students in the 1 Dream Class of 2008 have received their F1 Student Visas thus far and will be coming to California. Set to arrive on May 8th is Waldo Estevez from the Dominican Republic. Coming on June 6th is Adam Hajer and Zsolt Lakosa from Hungary and Bebe Vargas and Kelvin Coplin from the Dominican Republic. All of the African players will be having their appointments at their respective embassies over the next two weeks to determine their status. Stay tuned.
LUANO CLOSE TO MAKING DECISION April 24, 2008
Francisco Luano will soon be making his college decision. Luano, the first "1 Dream Student", went on a recruiting trip to Polk (FL) Junior College a few weeks ago and is headed to Arizona Western Junior College this weekend. Upon his return to Boston he will announce his decision. Both schools are among the top ranked Junior Colleges in the nation.

DREAM WEEKEND - ALL STAR CLASSIC April 14, 2008
Three quality games highlighted the All Star Classics. The SLO County Teams both defeated the Santa Barbara County squads, with the girls game decided by 3 points and the boys by 8. In the NorCal vs. SoCal game, the talent heavy NorCal squad escaped with a 3 point victory. A big thank you to Mission Multisport for putting on a great race. Over 120 runners/walkers enjoyed a beautiful day at Avila Beach with temperatures in the low 80's.
DREAM WEEKEND - FINAL FORE GOLF TOURNAMENT April 14, 2008
Mike Wozniak and Terrance Harris were crowned champions of the inaugural FINAL FORE Golf Tournament. Wozniak and Harris won four straight matches to capture the title. Wozniak has won several tournaments in his career, while this is the first for Harris.

These students shall receive a fully sponsored high school and college education so that upon receiving their college degree they can return to their homeland and better serve their people.
